MORTGAGE VALUATION
A valuation report is a limited inspection required by your mortgage lender. It deals primarily with the value of the property in its present condition.
A valuation is not a survey. It will not report in detail on the property’s state of disrepair unless this is so severe that it will affect the value or saleability.
The surveyor will take into account what can reasonably be seen within the property and also the general external condition.
This report should not be used as the only basis for deciding whether or not to purchase a property.
