HOMEBUYER SURVEY AND VALUATION REPORT (HSV)

This service, devised by the RICS and carried out to a standard format, involves a more detailed inspection plus report than a mortgage valuation.

As a rule this report is usually considered more suitable for conventional properties, in a reasonable condition, built within the last 100 years.

It will include the following information:-

· The general condition of the property.

· Identification of those matters concerning the value of the property which the surveyor consider significant, or which require urgent attention.

· Matters with possible legal implications.

· Useful advice on safety and maintenance matters.

· Recommended reinstatement cost for insurance purposes.

· The value of the property on the open market.
